We are doing this trip in memory of Mark Eccles born 8th February 1975 died 12 October 2007. Mark's spirit of adventure inspired us all. When he found out about us doing this trip he was buzzing for us. We knew he would want us to push forward with the fundraising and not only make it a trip of a lifetime but make it worth while for the charities in question. Mark was a great friend to all of us and we miss his smile. Mark died doing what he loved, riding his motorbike. Any money raised above our target will go to the intensive care unit in Bodlwydden where Mark was cared for.

A couple of years ago Steph Jeavons went to Africa on holiday, and although she saw the joy and friendliness of the local people, she also saw the poverty and suffering. She vowed then that she would do something to help them.
Cora Jevams had been thinking for some time that shewanted to do something help children suffering in the world but until recently had no focus.
When they saw an advert to take part in a motorbike ride across South Africa in aid of local charities, they both signed up within the week. It was only after they sat down and thought about it that they realised what a daunting task they were facing to raise the money.
That is what this website is about.
The money raised will be in aid of 3 amazing causes – Unicef, sentable, (the Princes Fund for Lesotho) and the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund.
